Question by roseyred7: Anyone sad the Huell Howser passed away?
People who knew him said he is geniunely nice and warm person both in front and behind the cameras.
He was featured in an episode of the Simpsons. But too bad that people outside of California don’t know who he is.
It’s also too bad that he has to stay in the closet for fear of alienating his viewers even in a liberal state like California. If he would have come out, it would have benefited his community, knowing that such a good, decent person is part of it.

I been watching Huell’s programs since I was a kid, & didn’t even he has been around since the 80s.
Huell Howser showed us the true California, not the stereotypes. Someone once told him that he was not a real Californian, because he kept his Tennessee accent. He responded, What exactly is a California accent?
The Simpsons immortalized him as Howell Huser (parody) & Huell Howser (original). Back in the 90s, one of the Kids WB cartoons parodied him also, I think it was the Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries.

If you want quality,
1- You film it of course. If you don’t it to be cheesy, paint a wall green/blue and use it as a blue screen so you can edit in blue screen effects inside of your movie editor. Or use location shooting. Your obviously going to have to record voice, so a nice sound room (or a ultra quite PC with quality mic) will do that job quite well. After that its pretty much just film and go…
2- Dont use windows movie maker. Tons of better programs to use, google will be your friend here.
3- Specific to the video editor you choose.
4- Chose a video editor which you mesh with… Don’t necessarily go with what ever has best reviews – its more about your comfort of use and understanding of it then how crazy the stuff you can produce from it is. Also, when filming music it is REALLY hard to sync up the voice, so be prepared for lots of repetition. I haven’t made that many movies, but always remember to count for the unexpected. I made a HS film project on a curtain blue screen, but due to last minute lighting changes (the sun changed to storms), after filming a whole days worth of film, it was ruined when the video software (dont remember which) would not sub in the background correctly due to the coloring being dimmer.

Question by Double A plus B: Other than Persepolis and Rocky, what other films played or even mentioned Eye of the Tiger?
I know, I know, we ALL heard it before, but I don’t think I know all the films that have this song: Eye of the Tiger. Can anyone give me the full list of movies that have played or even mentioned this song and who wrote it for that matter?

Honestly, this isn’t a copout answer. It’s just that the song has been used and referred to a lot, even parodied. Here’s the song’s Wikipedia page, which includes how the song came about~by personal request by Sylvester Stallone to the rock band Survivor.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_of_the_Tiger
The following are included on the list:
The song is sung in the movie “Asterix and the Vikings”.
The song is heard in “Big Fat Liar” when one of the jocks is doing sit-ups.
Ben Stiller sings the song in the film “Night at the Museum” over the loudspeaker at the American Museum of Natural History at night.
Jim Peterik co-wrote the song, but I can’t find an answer as to his partner or whether he simply co-wrote it with the help of the group members. Here are links to Wikipages for Peterik and Survivor:
